Before starting to play poker online, you should get acquainted with as many types of poker as possible and choose the right one for you. We want to draw your attention to the most popular versions of poker. They are 7 Stud Poker, Texas Holdem Poker and Omaha Poker.

Due to its historic past, 7 Stud Poker is regarded as the most “pure” poker variation. The variation can be played with two or more players at a table. 7 Stud has a lot of little rules and nuances, but in general it’s a simple game. It can be divided into 4 sections: Setup, the Bring, Betting Rounds and Showdown. The game doesn’t have blinds, only antes. There are five betting rounds in the Betting Section. There are no common cards in this version of poker. The winning combinations are determined by the sequence of actions. The player with the lowest card must make a bring-in bet in the Bring section but the player with a better hand, should act first in the later rounds of Betting Section. In the Showdown, each player makes the best five card hand possible out of their own seven cards.

Texas Holdem Poker is the easiest and the most popular version of poker. There are five common cards and two cards are dealt face down to each player. Gamblers can create a combination of these seven cards. There are four betting rounds. Before starting the game gamblers make blind bets, which provide the required amount of money in the bank. The player sitting left to the dealer make a small blind and the player to the right of the dealer makes a big blind.

Rules of Omaha poker are very similar to the Texas Holdem ones. There are also five common cards in the game which players may use to create a winning combination. The difference is that in Omaha players are dealt not two but four cards face down. So we see that Omaha is a 9-card poker game. But the combination can be made only by two closed cards and three common ones.
